"Phantasmagoria" is a poem written by Lewis Carroll and first published in 1869 as the opening poem of a collection of verse by Carroll entitled Phantasmagoria and Other Poems.

As a class textbook (which it was for me) I found it redundant and frustrating.. I read it three times before I really got it. They even separate the history into an appendix. This is the most interesting book about Lincoln since Gore Vidal wrote his novel. Excellent value.
